The Boston Mills Artfest is a nationally recognized fine art and fine craft show that connects art patrons in Northeast Ohio with more than 300 different exhibiting artists and their work.
Since 1972, the Boston Mills Artfest has been held at Boston Mills Ski Resort, nestled in the scenic Cuyahoga Valley National Park, midway between Cleveland and Akron.
The Boston Mills Artfest consists of two separate shows held on two consecutive weekends: June 29-30 and July 6-7. A festive Preview Party kicks off each weekend so that Artfest patrons can view and purchase art while sampling wines and hors d’oeuvres.
Meeting the creative minds behind the work is one of the elements that differentiates the Boston Mills
Artfest from other fine art and fine craft shows.
Exhibitors must create 100% of all work displayed at the show, and their attendance is required on all show days.
Artwork is accepted in 17 different medium categories, which ensures a broad range of offerings to fit every taste and color palette.
Prices of individual pieces range from $10-20 for a print or ceramic mug, to $20,000 or more for a unique sculpture or painting.
A festive Preview Party kicks off each weekend of the Boston Mills Artfest. The Preview Party features select fine wines, craft beers, hors d’oeuvres, and the first opportunity to view and purchase the weekend’s artwork.
Many art show previews are limited to only sponsors and friends of the show, but we invite our patrons to buy tickets to attend and experience the fun. The Preview Party helps people realize art is for everyone.
Boston Mills is a show with a loyal following: Many patrons visit the Artfest year after year, and often bring new people with them to enjoy the shows.
On average, between 10,000-15,000 art patrons visit Boston Mills during the two Artfest weekends every year.
Demographically speaking, Artfest patrons tend to be cultured, educated, and live in zip codes with higher than average household incomes.
Patrons come from all over Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and surrounding states, but 95% of them call Northeast Ohio home.
Boston Mills Artfest patrons are enthusiastic about purchasing the fine art and fine craft items exhibited at the Artfest. They provide exhibitors with approximately $1.5M in sales annually.
