Northern Ohio Golf Charities Foundation announced the recipients of more than $1.08 million in grants Tuesday, with nearly $925,000 going to these 49 nonprofit agencies:

Adaptive Sports Program of Ohio, $8,098 for rugby chairs.

Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, $44,000 for a semi-tractor.

Akron Civic Theatre, $25,873 for a video system.

Akron Marathon Charitable Corp., $9,000 for signage.

Akron Regional Development Board, $15,000 for its education fund.

Akron Symphony Orchestra, $15,400 for servers.

Akron Zoological Park, $10,000 for the Grizzly Ridge exhibit.

American Red Cross of Summit and Portage Counties, $17,170 for a vehicle.

Battered Women’s Shelter, $20,000 for its board room.

Beacon Journal Charity Fund, $35,000 for children’s dental care.

Boy Scouts of America, Great Trail Council, $7,500 for tents.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland, $27,500 for a school bus.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Western Reserve, $32,500 for a vehicle.

Broken Chains Jail and Prison Ministry, $16,750 for a vehicle.

Catholic Charities Community Services of Summit County, $12,500 for a bus.

Children’s Hospital Women’s Board, $40,000 for an in-patient rehabilitation unit.

Choices, A Community Social Center, $1,450 for seating.

City Mission, $12,000 for a convection oven.

Cleveland Clinic Foundation, $27,232 for a van.

Cleveland Kids in Need Resource Center, $13,000 for a forklift.

Community Outreach Resources Exchange, $25,000 for a truck.

Community Pregnancy Center, $11,000 for cribs and mattresses.

Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center, $6,190 for computer equipment.

Ears to You, $6,000 for earrings for cancer patients.

Elves & More Northeast Ohio, $10,000 for bicycles.

Fathers and Sons of Northeast Ohio, $17,500 for a van.

First Tee of Akron, $75,000 for operations.

First Tee of Canton, $25,000 for operations.

First Tee of Cleveland, $25,000 for operations.

Habitat for Humanity of Summit County, $25,000 for a truck.

Interval Brotherhood Home, $15,000 for operations.

Malachi House, $5,000 for an ice machine.

Mature Services, $39,982 for a delivery truck.

Metro Parks, Serving Summit County, $12,500 for operations.

North Coast Community Homes, $7,500 to build a stairway.

North Coast Health Ministry, $5,400 to replace a floor.

Ohio Veterans’ Memorial Park, $19,858 for an asphalt driveway.

OPEN M, $25,000 for a van.

Regina Health Center, $8,000 for furnishings.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeastern Ohio, $25,000 for operations.

Rotary Camp for Children with Special Needs, $27,110 for furnishings.

Salvation Army, $12,000 for renovations at an emergency shelter.

Shelter Care, $27,980 for a van.

Stewart’s Caring Place, $8,000 for technology equipment.

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation of NEO, $6,500 for a phone system.

University Hospitals-Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, $25,000 for a driver awareness program.

Victim Assistance Program, $25,000 for boiler and roof renovations.
