Former Browns coach Sam Rutigliano will be the keynote speaker at a coaching clinic titled Winning Inside-Out on Saturday at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, 4687 Wyoga Lake Road in Cuyahoga Falls.

After an 8:30 a.m. continental breakfast, Rutigliano will begin speaking at 9 a.m. A coaches panel discussion will be followed by a presentation on inside-out coaching. The event will conclude at noon.

Basketball

• University of Akron women’s junior forward Rachel Tecca was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week.

This is the second consecutive week and third time this season she has earned the honors.

Tecca has scored in double figures in all 24 of Akron’s games this season and is the MAC’s leading scorer.

• Kent State men’s senior forward Chris Evans was named the MAC East Division Player of the Week.

This marks the fourth time this season Evans has earned the honors. He collected double-doubles in each of Kent State’s games against Miami and Ohio over the week.
