Division I sectional tournament
Walsh Jesuit sophomore Kailey Francetic broke a school record with a score of 462.00 to claim first place at the Division I sectional tournament at Ocasek Natatorium on Thursday.
Francetic broke her own previous school record of 460.00.
“It feels fantastic,” Francetic said. “Its a great honor to show everyone what I practice every week.”
Junior Nicole Rozsa of Cuyahoga Falls placed second with a score of 409.35 and sophomore Erika Shane of Cuyahoga Falls placed fourth.
“I’m very proud of both girls,” said Cuyahoga Falls coach Peter Nauman. “Nicole had an excellent night and Erika did as well.”
The top 22 divers qualify for the district.
Michelle Moock of Brecksville placed third, and Maria DeRenzo of Perry placed fifth to round out the top five.

Archbishop Hoban 62, Ursuline 41
Senior Sandra Dickos scored 19 points, 15 in the second half, and the visiting Knights (15-5) won on the road in a nonleague game.
The Knights led by two at halftime and outscored the Fighting Irish 40-21 in the second half.
Senior Emma Horning scored 16 points and senior Meghan Donohue added 14 points for the Knights.
Barberton 51, Lake Center Christian 35
Senior Ashlee Ford scored 11 points, senior Harley Berlesky added 10 points and the host Magics (5-16) defeated the Tigers (2-18).
Chippewa 56, Hillsdale 39
Sophomore Megan Storad and freshman Ashley Richardson each scored 15 points, and the visiting Chipps (17-3, 10-3) defeated the Falcons (7-14, 3-10) in a Wayne County Athletic League game.
West Branch 67, Alliance 32
Melinda Trimmer scored 18 points and the host Warriors (18-2, 12-2) defeated the Aviators (1-18, 0-14) in a Northeastern Buckeye Conference game.
Our Lady of the Elms 46, Open Door Christian 37
Junior Rachel Coury scored 21 points to lead the visiting Panthers (3-16) over the Patriots (10-8).
Dalton 49, Waynedale 35
Mary Briceland scored 18 points for the Bulldogs (10-11, 6-7).
