Positive influence on kids

Name: Andre Moore.

Age: 41.

Hometown: Akron.

Role: Akron police patrolman; at-risk youth volunteer with KNAFF (Kids Need a Firm Foundation), named in memory of Officer George Knaff.

“What motivates me is knowing that I can possibly change one of those kid’s lives. Another thing that motivates me is watching others out there working with the kids, like [KNAFF founder] Officer Lionel Millender, who is really good with the kids. When I see what he’s able to do, it motivates me even more to get out there and do it.”
