Aeros win suspended game, lose regularly-scheduled game to Phillies

Staff report

Aeros 4, Phillies 3

Roberto Perez hit a two-out solo home run in the ninth inning Saturday night to give the Aeros an Eastern League win in the continuation of a game suspended by rain on Friday night.

The host Reading Phillies and Aeros were tied 3-3 when the game was suspended after the seventh inning.

Perez’s homer gave the Aeros the go-ahead run and opened the door for Bryan Price to win his first game of the year.

Phillies 7, Aeros 5

Aeros pitchers gave up four home runs to lose the regularly scheduled game to the host Phillies (14-19).

The Aeros (17-18) put together 10 hits including a three-run home run by Quincy Latimore, but it wasn’t enough.
