Local favorite jazz/pop singer Helen Welch will perform holiday favorites with musical help from the Miller South Show Choir, the Stanton Middle School choirs and some special guests from the Hudson and Fairlawn Schools of Music.

This group is very popular in this area, bringing its annual musical, comedy show with a bit of an old-school variety show feel.

Kent-bred musical brother and sister team up for the first time on the Sibling Rivalry tour. Both released solo albums in 2011 — Jessica’s sophomore album, the critically acclaimed “Tell Me” produced by Dan Auerbach and David’s solo debut, “The David Mayfield Parade.”

Another evening of holiday favorites as interpreted by the Akron Symphony Chorus conducted by Maestro Carl Topilow.

Socio-political comic Bell’s profile has risen considerably with his new talk show on FX, “Totally Biased,” but his album “Face Full of Flour” scored in the Top 10 Best Comedy Albums of 2010 by iTunes and his solo show, “The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About an Hour,” garnered much acclaim.
